Fight Signs of Aging with BOTOX

What Is BOTOX®?

BOTOX® involves using an injection that is made out of a botulism toxin. It is effective for reducing the appearance of crow’s feet, fine lines and wrinkles.

When Will I Notice The Results?

You may notice a difference right after you get your treatment. However, it can take up to a week for the results of BOTOX® to be noticed. The results will continue to improve over the next few weeks.

How Long Does BOTOX® Last?

It is important to note that the results of BOTOX® are temporary. Patients will have to get repeat injections in order to maintain the results of their procedure. The amount of time that BOTOX® lasts can vary from patient to patient. However, the results of BOTOX® typically last three to six months. Even though the results of BOTOX® are temporary, many people notice that their wrinkles are not as severe as they were before.

Possible Side Effects of BOTOX®

BOTOX® is a very safe procedure. However, it can potentially cause side effects. Some of the most commonly reported side effects include tenderness, pain and swelling in the injection site. Serious side effects are uncommon. You can reduce swelling and discomfort in the injection site by using a cool compress.

BOTOX® Recovery

BOTOX® is a non-surgical procedure, so the recovery time is very brief. We will give you specific instructions for ensuring that your recovery process goes as smoothly as possible. It is important for you to avoid rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours after your procedure. This will help prevent the BOTOX® from spreading to other parts of the body. We also recommend sleeping in an upright position.

Is BOTOX® Right For Me?

BOTOX® has been approved for healthy patients who are between the ages of 18 and 65. However, only a healthcare professional can determine whether BOTOX® is right for you. This procedure has not been approved for women who are pregnant or nursing.

If you are taking any medications, then you will need to make sure that you inform your healthcare provider of that before you get BOTOX®. Furthermore, you should also let your healthcare provider know if you have had a history of skin infections. If you have a skin infection, then you will have to wait for the infection to clear before getting BOTOX®.
