Get Longer Lashes with Latisse

If you’ve noticed your eyelashes are starting to thin or they’re just not as thick as they used to be, you don’t have to depend on expensive mascara for the rest of your life to feel proud of your eyelashes. Latisse is a prescription medication that’s been shown to be very effective in making your lashes longer, thicker, and darker. Eyelashes can show response to treatment within four weeks of beginning use with the maximum benefits seen around 16 weeks.

At The John Bull Center for Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Medispa in Naperville, we offer Latisse treatment options to help you get fuller, longer eyelashes. Doctor John Bull understands that women don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on mascara, so he and his medical staff offer Latisse as a great alternative. You can get the lush eyelashes you’ve always wanted. Contact The John Bull Center today to schedule your consultation.

Latisse isn’t a complicated medication to apply or use. Every night, you’ll apply one drop of the medication to the given applicator and brush it directly on the upper eyelid where the lashes meet the skin. You’ll repeat on the other eye, but do you apply on the lower lid. You only need to ensure that your eyes are free of makeup and your contact lenses are removed before application. If you wear contacts, wait at least 15 minutes after you apply Latisse before you put your contacts back in.

It’s also important to remember that additional or extra applications of this medication will not increase the efficacy of it or speed up the process of eyelash growth.

Side effects are generally cosmetic and don’t affect your vision. Some people have seen increased iris pigmentation with use. Usually, this is brown in color and is most likely permanent. It may not be visible for a few months or even up to a year, but it’s considered relatively harmless even in cases of noticeably increased pigmentation.

Latisse can also darken the eyelids in some people. Fortunately, it diminishes when application of the medication is discontinued. There’s also a small potential for hair to grow outside of the eyelash area if the medication comes into repeated contact with the skin there. This can be avoided with proper application and taking care to remove any excess medication upon administration. This is why it’s contraindicated to apply them to your lower lash line, because you’re more likely to end up dripping the medication on your cheek.

If you’re unsatisfied with how thick or long your eyelashes are, contact Dr. Bull to find out if Latisse can help bring your lashes back to their former glory. With most users saying they saw noticeable results in their number of eyelashes, this medication is safe and effective!
