Average Length of a Facelift Recovery

While facelift recovery will be different to every patient, in general, you can expect your facelift recovery to take anywhere from two to four weeks.

Here’s what you can expect during that timespan:

1. During the first 3 to 5 days, you may feel groggy and tired, so it’s important to prepare your recovery space for lots of sleep and relaxing. You may also want to invest in a recliner, as you won’t be able to sleep on your side or face during recovery.

2. You may be able to return to work within your second week of recovery. This is dependent on the type of job you have, as if you’re exposed to anything that could potentially bump your face, you should wait another week or so. Also, there may be some bruising that can be covered with makeup and a little swelling may remain.
