Are you interested in undergoing CoolSculpting treatments, but scared that they’ll be too painful?
Knowledge is power – that’s why we’re unveiling just how much pain you should expect during your CoolSculpting treatment, as well as how long any side effects from the non-surgical fat reduction procedure may last.
CoolSculpting treatments don’t hurt; in fact, many patients are able to relax, check their email, or even sleep while throughout their CoolSculpting treatment. As most CoolSculpting treatments take about one hour to perform, this can be a great time to catch up on some much-needed downtime.
However, it is worth noting that some patients report feeling slightly uncomfortable during their CoolSculpting treatment. This is likely due to the vacuuming effect from the handpiece, which pulls the skin up so the freezing energy can directly target the fat cells underneath the dermal tissue. Patients with sensitive skin may find this somewhat uncomfortable, so it’s important to share your concerns with your CoolSculpting technician before the treatment begins.
CoolSculpting side effects vary from patient to patient, but they usually include:
Most of these side effects only last for about one to two weeks; some residual post-procedure swelling may be visible for about three to four weeks.
Again, the answer depends on the patient, as certain body areas respond to CoolSculpting faster than others. For example, you may see results from CoolSculpting sooner if you’re treating double chin fat rather than, say, abdominal fat. However, most patients usually need about two to five CoolSculpting treatments to see results.
As a general rule of thumb, the less dense the fat tissue, the faster you’ll see results from your CoolSculpting treatments.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr Bull and his caring staff. I felt completely comfortable & confident in their care—-my thanks to all!!!
