What is a Liquid Facelift?

Are you interested in undergoing a facelift procedure – but not exactly thrilled by the idea of having surgery done?

Facelift surgery can involve some downtime, which can be tough to find with today’s busy lifestyle. Add to the fact that you’ll have to contend with swelling, bruising, and slow results (final results aren’t usually seen for six months to a year), and it’s no wonder more patients are nervous about the facelift procedure.

If this sounds familiar to you, then you may just be an excellent candidate for the Liquid Facelift.

What is a Liquid Facelift?

A Liquid Facelift is a non-surgical treatment that uses dermal fillers to add volume to key areas of the face, like the cheeks, around the mouth and underneath the eyes. Dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a natural compound that instantly adds volume to the injection site, retains more water within the dermis, and helps to boost collagen production over the long-term. When injected into key areas of the face, a Liquid Facelift can help take years off of your appearance while adding youth-enhancing contours to your face.

Is There Downtime or Recovery?

The best thing about a Liquid Facelift is that there’s no downtime or recovery involved; you can continue on with your normal routine. The only restriction is that you’ll need to avoid vigorous exercise within the first 24 hours after your Liquid Facelift, as this could cause the hyaluronic acid gel to spread.

How Long Does the Procedure Take?

The procedure takes about thirty minutes to perform. This allows your plastic surgeon to identify key facial contours that could be improved by dermal filler injections. Your skin will be treated with numbing cream or ice beforehand so you’re more comfortable during the Liquid Facelift procedure.

When Will I See Results?

You will see results immediately, but final results will be seen after 5-7 days when mild swelling subsides. At this point, your results can last anywhere from 6-12 months before you’ll need maintenance injections.
