What are the Side Effects of a Chemical Peel?*
Mild and temporary itching, redness and burning sensations are typically reported after a chemical peel treatment. These usually alleviate within a few days. As this treatment leaves skin temporarily more vulnerable to the sun, care should be taken to shield the face with a broad-spectrum sunscreen, wide-brimmed hats, and minimum necessary sun exposure during hours of direct sunlight.
